2008/05/28 CSEP meeting
Attendees: Yan, Phil, Danijel, Jeremy, John, Masha
- Introducing Western Pacific testing region into the CSEP:
- Masha changed Fortran code to read date and time from the file instead of making a system call:
- There are 41 differences over 1% in column #8 - will send summary to Yan
- Long-term and short-term forecast rates are under 1% of differences
- Model acceptance tests are part of the CSEP build now, and pass
- Danijel will respond to Warner with testing region rules:
- Will ask to split testing region in SW and NW Pacific regions
- Danijel created ForecastML master templates for NW and SW Pacific regions, sent to Masha
- Jeremy sent Java code that calculates bin area in km**2 - to be used to calculate bin rate in (EQ per day per degree**2) units
- Masha converted code to Python
- Jeremy will send reference data for the unit test
- Tasks left to do:
- Conversion utility to populate ForecastML template with Yan's forecast rates
- Evaluation tests:
- Prepare observation catalog:
- No catalog uncertainties
- Filter by depth and magnitude
- Jeremy will send definition of collection and testing areas to Masha
- Prepare observation catalog:
- Install and automate Jeremy's one-year model for NW and SW Pacific regions
- Danijel will write GMT script to generate forecasts maps some time next week
- John started working on web-site changes to accomodate new testing regions:
- California, SW Pacific, NW Pacific
- Code freeze is scheduled for Monday, June 2, 2008
