2009/09/29 CSEP Meeting

- csep-op:
- V9.10.0 release:
- Need to upgrade SciPy (V0.7.0) and NumPy (V1.3.0) packages
- V9.7.0 release:
- Server shutdown on 09/28/2009 - Masha started processing manually when server came back online
- Re-processing of California's one-day and RELM forecasts groups due to the ANSS catalog fixes
- Only three-month models remain to be reprocessed
- V9.10.0 release:
- CSEP meeting at USC on September 24-25, 2009
- Testing Center for ground motion
- Global Testing:
- CMT catalog
- New grid
- Testing for M>=6, 7, 8
- File-based forecasts
- Due to April 1, 2010 release (V10.4)
- Implementation of the Testing Center results web viewer
- Software development:
- V9.10 release candidate is running on csep-cert since 2009/09/12 with latest release candidate since 2009/09/18
- Masha will create another release candidate today to include:
- Re-compute cumulative results that use probability function - stand-alone functionality
- John's latest changes to the results web viewer
- SVN access to new CSEP contributors:
- Ask all participating SCEC Testing Center modelers if it's OK to distribute their codes
- John will check if wildcards are allowed for SVN's denyPermissions
- Meanwhile Masha will send James generic CSEP distribution
- Hardware:
- John will start copying data from csep-op to new server
- Can replace after the V9.10 release is out
- csep-cert
- CSEPWebTest.py is not part of nightly build - some issues connecting to the web server
- John is looking at the problem, but most likely won't make it into V9.10.0
- Masha suggested to invoke the tests manually once V9.10 is installed on csep-op
